I'm working on rough sets and I wrote all rough set and fuzzy rough set operations in Matlab. However I'm looking for an standard Matlab toolbox for this operations. I will be very thankful if any body introduce me such a toolbox.
One of differences: from a fuzzy rule base you get result in form of a crisp number.
From a rough set rule base you get result in form of an interval or in form of a class name e.g. bird, depending on the considered problem.
In rough sets theory, the membership degrees of an object to a defined set U would be threefold: 1 if an object is in the positive region, 0 if it is negative and NULL (indiscernible) when is in the border region. This is therefore, a three valued logic instead of fuzzy logic where the degree of membership of objects to a defined set U can take infinite values in the range [0, 1]. Therefore, we can say that a rough set is a fuzzy set with discontinuities.
