Actually, I am stuck in problem to add new materials in Material explorer in FDTD. When we add a material then where from we can obtain its properties to put in FDTD for THz frequency. If we use built in materials then they did not being fit in THz range. How we can solve this problem?
Abhishek Mondal , Thanks for guidance but "Refractive Index info" Does not cover each material. Problem is that properties of metamaterials such as GST etc. Other one is different properties with different wavelength.?
Databases are OK, just be careful, some of the references cited are out of date, some extrapolate from other GHz values. ( e.g. Gabriel et al. extrapolates from 20 GHz).(Gabriel, S., Lau, R.W. and Gabriel, C., 1996. The dielectric properties of biological tissues: III. Parametric models for the dielectric spectrum of tissues. Physics in medicine & biology, 41(11), p.2271.)
Always check the reference itself if you can.
Dielectrics are often the biggest problem.They can be frequency dependent, temperature dependent, etc.etc. etc. especially at THz Look for individual papers and get a feel for the consensus figure.
You can look at some of my FDTD papers to see how much agonizing it takes sometimes...
