There is a lot of research and development of IoT applied to agriculture. However, has anybody carried out a study about what wireless technologies were used in this case? In other words, I'd like to know if there is some trend or recommendation, based on the type of agricultural envoronment, of the use of wireless technologies for IoT (e.g. ZigBee, WiFi, LoRa, SigFox, etc.)
Thanks for your answers. My question is oriented to discover if there is any trend or recommendation about the use of a specific technology or solution according its application. For example, if which ZigBee is more frecuently used in automatized crops irrigation, or LoRa for plague detection, or if it is the opposite.
Use of wireless devices for iot support depends on amount of data transfer,or data type( text/image, video) too, also depends on range of communication, means field length and node to node communication, node to router, server communication, all factors one has to consider , preferably zigbee is recommended
