During downloading satellite images, its quite easy to check how much cloud cover in that Tile. But there might be case, example:Certain Tile might have 80% cloud cover but your specific area of interest within Tile may not be under cloud. Thus, I am requesting any suggestion if there is any way to check how much cloud cover under your area of interest ?

Hey buddy,
You may use QA band for Landsat 8 (https://landsat.usgs.gov/qualityband). Using this band you can easily check and see if there is any useful information in your study area or not and then maybe crop the other bands based on that.
Yes it's possible, you can actually check for the extent of cloud cover on image before download. If you are using USGS Explorer, then go to metadata and you will see all the information about the image. You will see if the image is cloud free or not
Please check this website https://lv.eosda.com/ or Land viewer, you can get data from modis, landsat 7 and 8 and sentinel -2A
The best way and fast is the Iyyappan, said, upload your AOI , then check your satellitte and date, thats all. Now you can view if your image is under clouds or not.

Thank you Andres and Lyyappan. I agree it is quite easy when you have few satelite images. and Land viewer is pretty good on that. But I am trying to analyze large number of satelite images (collected from few years) and I am downloading those using python and R script. Now, I am more looking for any automated way so that I can check each images whether there is cloud cover in my AOI.
