I'm looking for the period 1960-2010, so the dataset would most likely have to be based on re-analysis data. Most things I found are for the West Coast only and often just feature the landfalling pixel instead of the whole track. A combination of two datasets (one Pacific, one Atlantic) would also be fine.

In addition the ClimateNet dataset seems to provide some basics for AR detection: "[...] knowledge accumulated by meteorologists, and weather and climate scientists, and for relative ease of use, we provide a subset of six variables - in various combinations - to the user to aid them in creating labels for TCs and ARs through ClimateContours."

There is a recent publication in the Journal of Hydrology about a climatology of ARs (https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/hydr/21/11/JHM-D-20-0039.1.xml). Unfortunately, I have no access to the article, but the abstract suggests that the performed AR detection analyses for the MERRA2 data set. Thus, you could try to ask the authors if they can provide you the data/results of their study.
Concerning two separate data sets for the US coasts, there will be hardly any AR at the East coast given that ARs are usually associated with extratropical cyclones whose trajectory will follow the flow of westerlies in the midlatitudes most of the time.
