There should be national level exam in each country for geospatial degree holders to prove their skills and get jobs but highly qualified degree holders in Remote sensing, Geoinformatics and Geomatics are not getting good jobs, even these subjects are not included in national eligibility test (NET). So in spite of having ample potential, Geospatial professionals are not getting good jobs. What do you think? Please share with us.
I don't think there is any let-up in Geospatial industry. However, with ups and downs of business, ups and downs happen in employment as a result of bulk of contractual work given by foreign corporate to indigenous firms. However, indigenous geospatial industry is almost non-existent because there are trained hand to use this technology but developers are lacking due to rush to electronics and computer engineering. Even software industry is paying no attention to develop indigenous software for geospatial work.
