I am using SRIM to calculate the energy used in Proton Therapy of Tumor in Lung, so I want to ask about which Type of TRIM calculation should be used. I want only to calculate the energy used in proton Therapy to have a Bragg peak in the Tumor.
TRIM gives you the energy loss of the protons per depth for a given step length. Depending on how you arrange the layers and the simulation, this will give you the data needed to reconstruct the Bragg peak. Quick calculation of damage is sufficient to estimate the peak, other options give you things like beams with various angles, sputtering, etc. Depending of the application you might find "Special Multi-Layer Biological Targets" helpful. See the TRIM manual on the webpage for further information.
Thanks a lot Dominik Koll I did this the same as u said and this was correct it calculates the energy required for a certain depth depends on material used and I used the quick calculation of damage and a Biological Target layers.
Thanks a lot Asaad Hamid Ismail. I used SRIM and calculated the Range of the proton in a specific tissues. It was very helpful.
