I can not say I'm smart but I can say I'm not stupid.
The answer is yes. several methods are used to improve the intelligence of somebody.
The intelligence is measured by IQ albert Einstein was born with an IQ of 230 and died with 230. You cannot improve intelligence, however you can develop yourself to be smarter or more clever (not more intelligent).
Also, there are different types of intelligence according to Howard Gardner theory. For instance, Albert Einstein had a very powerful imagination (Visual-Spatial) and Logical-Mathematical intelligence; Beethoven had very developped Musical intelligence; Prophet Muhammed was blessed with Interpersonal and Existential Intelligence.
I always have a doubt WHO MEASURES WHOM?

IQ is no longer a standard of measure also if you check IQ measuring techniques , they do not give you test to solve nth order differential equation with absurd initial conditions . They ask you to do simple tasks. So can you improve IQ well again I do not know "improvement" ...
Certainly better exercised , it is a life long process ...
Intelligence - the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. The degree of intelligence can be improved by training. The ability of a person in a particular field of interest may improve on cultivation.

Every human beings are born with the head ,mind,brain, covering inner urge ,& divinity within them to move to the progress of their path .Intelligence is the working process of our mind & brain which help us either to grasp & understand our requirement quickly or in certain cases we have to spend our time for understanding the requirement .
This process of intelligence in every human being are not the same but quite good individual with their understanding stage have understood the development of his faculty of mind which may be called intelligence & to him it is a working garden of his life .
The development of intelligence with us also help us the inner process of intuition & which can be also developed with the help of our silent mind covering the process of power of prayer,& mediation which may make the compass our intelligence in life manner & worthy mode .
We all know that our mind never gets tired & it required a merely change & for the activities of our mind intelligence our,knowledge for which as human beings we are to carry our action for our own contribution covering our family & social surrounding but it is a intelligent approach of quite well many learned person who have help the man kind by offering them their knowledge for us so that it may help us to progress our life path .
