When you have an ethovision lience only for one computer, is that possible to analyze a video that has been recorded with a different camera? Or should the camera be connected at the time of recording to the software.
We have only one station to share, and would like to record behavior with another camera in a different room.
I never used ethovision so nay advice is very welcome

You've already received a good answer to your question but I'd just like to reassure you that the Ethovision software is set up very well for handling pre-recorded videos. My advice would be to ensure that you have something for quantifying spatial scale, e.g. a transparent ruler in view of each video for the purposes of analysis with Ethovision. That way, when you come to analyse your videos, you can easily set the spatial scale for each video if necessary.
