When simulating viscoelastic materials such as cellular materials or foam using Maxwell model, which is made of a spring and dashpot; is possible that these damping of the dashpot and stiffness of the spring changes their values under variable strain rates? In another words, can damping and stiffness of the Maxwell be function of time if strain is function of time? If so, is there is any reference to support the answer? If no, why not? Thank you!
