Dear Colleagues,

Mayara, a student from IFSC currently doing an internship at ISEP, is trying to characterise all possible errors, done in VISIR, while experimenting a very simple 1:1 circuit in AC mode, i.e. one signal generator connected to a single resistor (R) / inductor (L) / or capacitor (C).

Right now, she has been able to characterise the errors with R and C. However, she has not been able to fully characterise the situation with an inductor, basically because she has not found any VISIR node able to measure L, even though the new VISIR nodes, installed in Brazil and Argentina, are equipped with the NI PXI-4072 6 1/2 Digit FlexDMM & LCR meter, which supports this possibility.

The question is: does any partner implemented an interface (DMM or Virtual Instrument – VI) where users may read L (inductances)?

Yours,

Gustavo
