I can find some patents that this effect can we controlled externally with Ohmic Resistance but I want to know if this can be realised with an inductor.
To reduce armature reaction effect in D.C machines, inter pole are used(made), on magnetic neutral axis of main pole. Similarly the field weakening effect can be controlled by providing a coil(designed) on axis (or adjustante to axis) of permanent magnet(rotor) and be supplied with required current by D.C source via slip rings.
Thank you Professor for the answer ... but i want this effect from making no changes in the rotor or stator arrangement ... My question is whether this can happen without any changes made inside the motor but with a external device or a circuit with a inductor.
In PMSM poles are generally, salient pole, hence you can put few turn on one pole side, and few on other pole side. Ready made slip ring assembly, you have to buy, for mounting on same shaft externally, outside the motor, no change would be needed in motor.
