Few scales in my questionnaire are adopted and others are adapted. I have taken expert opinion for adapted scales. Other than expert oriented pretesting I have also done respondent oriented pretesting. So my question is that do I still need expert opinion for my adopted scales even if respondents' feedback is positive? I read at some place that there is no need of expert opinion for adopted scales. I need more authentic sources to validate this. I will be thankful if anyone can provide me justification for not taking expert opinion for an adopted scale.
@ Divya rajkumar Panjwani, I am conducting research on banks, So I have taken opinion of different managerial level bank employees to check the face validity. I am actually facing difficulty in getting the three knowledge experts. So my concern was that if the scale is already validated by other researchers and face validity and reliability is also good then do I still need 3 knowledge experts?
There opinion matters alot. It is necessary as you yourself feel the difference before n after face validity
