I am looking to polymerize aniline on the surface of a carbon paste circle. I however found Polyaniline on Carbon black on Sigma's website and were wondering if it was the same thing ?

Carbon paste is made of graphite powder and a paste liquid. Graphite is a conductor and that's why it is used for carbon paste electrodes.

Firstly, I agree with the other answers that the the “carbon paste” is not the same thing as carbon black (NB: i amorphous carbon). However, the composition of carbon pastes and their application (lubricating properties, temperature resistance, electrical properties, etc) is very different. Please consider below are some few examples:
