Is Artificial Intelligence a tool or a threat to teaching? What do you think?
Most educators consider AI to be one of the most sophisticated teaching tools available, as it can be adapted to individual student needs and provide personalized learning experiences. They argue that just like gardeners and doctors use modern equipment in their profession, teachers can also rely on AI tools to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and it will never be a threat to their profession. However, there are some critics who are doubtful about the future of the teaching profession because of the advances in AI technology.
We should use AI to help us study, not to study instead of us. AI can show what mistakes we make and suggest various tutorials how to improve. For teachers, AI can monitor progress of an entire class and identify what topics are harder for each student.
AI do have it's good and bad side in teaching such as student can learn high quality educational resources in short period of time, also automation , even identifying if the students needs extra help, It's do not need time or specify place ,allowing students to understand their mistakes and make corrections promptly. And it's also content a lot's disadvantage such as it will end creativity ,productivity, empathy, security risks from hacking , it can also start job displacement , ethical thought about bias and privacy it can also dehumanize the learning experience , lack of emotions , hallucinate can also giving misinformation that may mislead students, as students might miss out on the human connection and mentorship provided by teachers which will depersonalization of the learning experience..
AI can convey facts and train techniques, but can AI also convey the enthusiasm that leads to insights? I doubt that. With regard to Covid-19 or climate change, one has to realize that many specialist scientists only have a sufficiently large amount of conditioning, but no real deeper understanding of the inner relationships. And these will be the ones who train the AI. It can't get any better through this. AI should therefore be used carefully.
AI can greatly improve the efficiency of teaching processes. However, it can never replace human teachers because AI lacks empathy, creativity, and critical thinking that human teachers have.
