we are currently working in a similar field, on laser and TIG welding of transportation pipes for cryogenic and high temperature fluids. These are for similar and dissimilar metals(SS304, Cu, Al). Our interest is on the transformation during fabrication and service. Especially the sigma phase and hydrogen content is our main focus. If the lead area seems suitable, we may come together. The future aim is to control the microstructure by process manipulation.

It is fun to see how many positive individuals who wish to work with you. We do a lot of work related to the subjects you listed, but more related to welding than heat treatment. The main material is carbon and low alloy structural steels and pipelines since we focus on oil and gas applications. Our focus is on properties of the heat affected zone and weld metal, particularly fracture toughness frequently using weld thermal simulation. Residual stresses are also in focus, including FE modelling. I could tell you much more at a later stage.
