My project goal is to develop a methodology that enables minimally skilled people – e.g., lower-level employees who have direct contact with customers, suppliers, and problems – to do qualitative interviewing and causal inference well enough to understand a situation and act on it. My focus is civil-military operations, but the same situation arises in locally focused economic development and in commercial markets. The attachment provides a brief overview of my particular focus of interest, but I'm seeking guidance from any setting.
hi John, i haven't come across any one doing this but i think war camps and refugee camps can be good ares of study, in Uganda the military has been involved in civil work especially in operation of agriculture as it is the military providing seedlings and all agricultural inputs and materials so i think if this study is contacted in Uganda then your phenomenon might be covered. i think a multi stage approach can be better as you can study stage by stage.
Britton, your answer is not responsive to the question. You appear to have embraced the popular misconception that a tool for analyzing qualitative data is a tool for doing qualitative analysis.
