I am looking for an expert in plant volatiles (scents) who may be interested in writing a review paper on methodology for Applications in Plant Sciences, a journal published by the Botanical Society of America. I serve as Editor-in-Chief of the journal and we are seeking a review that researchers just beginning in this field can read to identify the best techniques available (including the pros and cons of current methods). For example, plant volatiles can be an important component of plant reproductive biology (floral scent, pollen volatiles) or ecology (trophic interactions, herbivory, etc.). If you know of anyone who might have the expertise to write such a paper, please let me know.

I did work on a plant volatile (ethylene) but not scents. I did a PhD on the photobiology of ethylene emissions from Marchantia polumorpha L. If you are interested I can make my PhD available for you, to see whether it may be an interesting topic.
Actually I don't know a plant which does not emit ethylene.
