I am working with some meteorological data from SKIRON which I converted from grib to netcdf in order to make the necessary calculations and formatting for interpolation. I want to interpolate the wind data ( u and v components) for the drifter positions and the correct drifter time in order to compare the u and v components for both data sets. I have some issues due to the matrix dimensions Wind 531*191*1975 and Drifter 130114*1 and the huge dimensions don't allow me to extract the "right" data of the wind data based on the simple find function.
Does somebody know some specific interpolation for wind data based on the drifter positions and time in Matlab where the dimensions are no problem?

Dear Naomi,
First thing I would do is put drifter data in a Nx3 matrix (X,Y,T).
Then you can interpolate the wind matrix for every step of N.
Thank you very much for your answer ! I did this step ...but the problem is probably about the memory since the data set is so big. I guess I will do it step by step for every drifter and delete in between the data.

The problem may refer to your computer RAM (Random-access memory).
If possible, I want ask you send me basic information of your computer and one of your NetCDF files.
