I am looking for examples of buildings or interiors which are designed specifically to accommodate or hinder the propagation of wireless communication signals. I know of a few cases, such as the Herzog&de Meuron's Signal Box Auf dem Wolf or the NSA headquarters, but I suspect there might be some lesser known applications and solutions that are more complex than blocking signals entirely.

I found this project: http://eeepro.shef.ac.uk/wifeeb which comes very close to what I am looking for in terms of future directions. However, while it explores the internal organisation of buildings and use scenarios, there are no architects involved in this or any similar research. I find it surprising that electrical engineers are the only ones interested in the design of walls with advanced properties with regards to EM propagation. Do you know of any collaborative research or design efforts in this area?
