We stop latanprost eye drops in the postoperative period and if required we give topical timolol maleate 0.5% BD or brimonidine 0.1% or their combination. Any other suitable topical antiglaucoma drugs or their combination which can be given?
Since Latanaprost is a prostaglandin analogue and therefore is a pro - inflammatory agent it should increase post -op inflammation, and it should be avoided till post op inflammation subsides.
I also agree with Md Anwar Hossain that avoiding topical CAI in post cataract surgery patients may not be a correct rational though topical CAI we prefer Timolol 0.5% or Brimonidine 0.1% or their combination compare to topical CAI.
