I want to remove some of the pieces of a concrete column.
The cross section of the concrete column is modeled with fibers.
In my plan, after giving a horizontal displacement of 50 mm by displacement control, remove a element. After removed, give horizontal displacement again to bring the displacement back to 0 mm.
I use "remove element "command, but it says error.

Put the analyze() command inside a loop so that after each step of the analysis, you can record the node displacement through the nodeDisp() command. After reaching the desired threshold, remove the target element by the remove() command, set the structure to its original position by reset(), then continue the analysis.
These commands are in OpenSeespy format. I am sure TCL also has similar commands.
