i made chitosan solution 1% and use acetic acid 1% but didn't dissolve, it can be dissolve in other acid solution or by varying acid concentration?
Either you have done stirring for the shorter period of time or concentration of the solvent is not correct. You may choose one of following methods;
1. Chitosan can be dissolved in the mixture of 0.1M Acetic acid and 0.2M NaCl (at Room temp., 12 Hours with stirring). 2. It can be dissolved in 0.1M acetic acid (at 60 degrees celcius with 5 hrs stirring).
check both the above mentioned criteria, didn't found the desired results i.e stirring with temperature, duration and concentration.
