Im writing an article on the impact of school closures on children and wondered if I can upload it here or if I need to get it checked through a panel first?
There is a button to tick if not peer reviewed. You also have to tick options about whether you are allowed to put it on the web. For example, many journals do not allow you to do this for the first year after publication .
Hi! Check the RG rules and recommendations in the info section you find if you scroll to the bottom of the right column on a RG page. Click ”Help Center” and ”Terms”. RG is for exchange of texts or links to texts between scientists. The normal is that the text is published in a journal or at least accepted. Also book chapters, research presentations from conferences, raw data etc can be uploaded. There you normally have “the panel” in form of the serious journals peer review process. You can however now publish also preprints of articles, that is normally a full and serious draft of an article that someone wants feedback on for completing and submitting to a journal. Also book chapters, research presentations from conferences, conference posters, raw data etc can be uploaded.
For journal articles you need to check the rules for the journal for knowing their rules for open access and sharing in repositories. You can also check via the SHERPA RoMEO classification https://v2.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/ of open access policies for different journals. Just search for the journal and you will see the journals policy for submitted, accepted and published articles. In this context, Researchgate is a “repository”.
Uploading of your research article or anything else totally depends upon you.
The research gate does carry any panel or checking or reviewing process before submission. You can upload your published or unpublished article by a simple click of a button rest option come during the process and you choose accordingly as per the needs.
Your uploaded research article will be helpful for all the researchers. So sharing your research work on the platform of researchgate is really a good idea.
