The idea of future architecture is governed, to a theoretical basis in an important theory, which is the theory of communication. Theory shows the relationship between the designer, output, and the recipient.
We find the importance of this triple relationship and its connection with each other. Each term of this relationship affects and is affected by the term that is adjacent to it.
And therefore it represents a cyclic relationship connected.
Resilient, more responsive, and inclusive. Flexibility would be the key concept in the entire profession of architecture!
Also, I believe that in the mentioned triple relationship, the role of the designer will change radically! The traditional business model of architecture will be different. Within the development of AI we'll witness advanced software that you just give some data then will propose units! The role of the architect will be still crucial...but for sure ... different!
I agree with Amine Moulay , the architecture is now in a paradigm shift. But there is a resistance to accepting these changes, and it is difficult to talk about them in academia, where knowledge is at the center of the architectural discipline and not in an interdisciplinary dialogue that moves away from the center of architecture to be able to dialogue with others. Today architecture cannot be a beautiful object only, it must be an articulator of relationships, not only between humans, but also with the environment. For this, architecture needs to speak with geographers, anthropologists, sociologists and biologists, to understand the network of relationships and the biotic community of which we are part.
I think Ricardo Rozzi's thought is very interesting when he talks about a triad that we can incorporate into the design, Habitats-Habits-Inhabitants, the basis of cohabitation.
I think the point you are missing is the designer and the recipient may be the same person. As we design our kitchens from IKEA. With greater development of offsite construction and design interfaces it is more likely clients will design their own buildings. At this point the architects and the construction professions become designers of systems the vehicle for delivering the product. Also with the use of modular there is a need to think of replaceable components. The parts need designing but not the final configuration.
