If you're just thinking about metals, and don't have/want to use an AAS or ICP, then it might be possible but you're going in for a huge ride.
First, you need to anyway dissolve all the metals in the plant. You can achieve this for sure by oxidizing with nitric acid. After this, you can find reagents to create complexes which can be analised using spectrophotometric methods that you can adapt to your sample, as for example the copper-ethylenediamine or iron phenanthroline.
Be very, very careful with interferences and validation to ensure accuracy of the results. Good luck.
