I've already discuss with my structural engineer (who experienced in concrete/steel) to calculate my timber component mechanical properties. In this case, Glue Laminated Timber (Glulam). They said they need value from three kind of test (bending test, compression test, and tension test).
Are these tests can provide me in calculation of my timber components to build a house?
What kind of test standard should we follow? I'm trying to follow the GLTAA (Australia) standards, but it doesn't show us method of the test. I don't know dimension of the specimen, span, width/thick of specimen, etc. Do you have experienced on this standards?
Thank you for your help and kind regards.
