Very naturally the portions (fig. table, algorithms) of research publications of a PhD researcher are mentioned directly or indirectly in the PhD thesis. In this case, if the works are cited (self citation) and put in the reference list, they will increase the plagiarism (self plagiarism). If a thesis allows the same percentage of plagiarism (say 25%) as other research publications, the aforesaid self plagiarism will increase the total level and the thesis will not pass the plagiarism test. So, how it can be managed?
