I have designed microstrip antenna for wi-fi. I want to optimoize the gain through optimizer option but getting error :please use only parameters without dependencies for template based post processing.
Please help me to solve this problem.

First you have to identify what are the parameter directly affecting gain of your antenna then optimize those parameters using any one of the optimizer given by CST.
Gain of an antenna related to the dimension of designed antenna, so you have to optimize your designed antenna not directly by gain.

One of the methods in optimization of an antenna in CST is write a program in VBA and implementing an optimization method. But, most of things is written in tutorial , so, you can find that. or, follow these steps, 1) define your farfield monitor as normal. 2) use template based processing 1D Result- select farfield (single freq), 3) complete the settings - e.g. gain... phi/theta..etc..4)go to your solver and click option, you should see 0D/1D result included in you goals tab.

With addition to Dr. Smrity Dwivedi answer, one more idea is to be implement, and that is impedance matching technique which improve radiation efficiency and later also increase the gain of the antenna.
I think the problem is that the parameter that you chose for optimization affects the value of another parameter. In other words, if x=y+z, and you choose to optimize wrt to y, then the value of x is also affected. The parameter you choose to optimize should be an independent parameter, that is any change in that parameter value should not affect the values of other parameters.
