Hello,

I am using micro-CT images in order to compare the geometrical/architectural properties in three different iron foam samples. Clearly, in order to make sure that my comparisons are meaningful, I need to make sure that the image characteristics of the constructed 2D slices associated with the samples are consistent. I am using NRecon software to construct 2D slices from the micro-CT raw data (shadow images). So, I wonder if using the same Load Parameters for all data sets would lead to have consistent 2D slices ? What if some reconstruction parameters are different such as misalignment compensation, ring artifacts reduction and beam hardening correction ? How do I make sure that the images associated with different samples are consistent, so I could have meaningful comparison of the measurements on them, such as density, surface area, strut thicknesses and so on.

Thanks,

Reza
