Hello,

I am working on the modelisation of a magnetostrictive layer that I have managed to deform during a stationary study : The layer was in a box that I assigned as air, and I applied a magnetic field along the x axis on all the sides of the box.

I now wish to perform a harmonic study on this layer, by first applying a DC magnetic field, and adding a smaller AC magnetic field. Thanks to a frequency study, I wish to observe the resonance frequencies of such a layer.

To do this I tried with a Small-Signal Analysis study (Stationary + Frequency domain perturbation). In addition to a magnetic field of 7500 A/m, I added a Harmonic perturbation of 50 A/m (to model the AC Magnetic field).

The problem is, when I try to compute a frequency domain study, I have extremely high relative errors, and the computing doesn't converge (convergence plot keeps getting higher).

You can find the file of the model in the attachment.

I tried many different configurations but none of them work. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could make the solution converge ?

Thanks in advance !
