Titanium nanoparticles are obtained by the sol-gel method. CO2 is reduced by a photochemical method in the presence of already obtained titanium nanoparticles or their composites in an aqueous medium. It is known that irradiation with ultraviolet radiation due to the absorption of UV photons leads to the generation of electron-hole pairs in titanium dioxide particles. The migration of these charge carriers to the surface allows them to participate in oxidation-reduction reactions to obtain CO2. Other metals are used to modify the photocatalyst.
