I am facing a problem while analysis of a hollow pile subjected to torsion. I have created a hollow pile as a plate element and as a volume pile. Now I have to find the internal forces at the pile head.
You are able to get the shear force and the bending moment along the hollow pile by using two approaches; volume pile or embed pile. If you aim to use a volume pile, the bending moment can be obtained by extracting the pile-soil interface force and integrate it to get the soil reaction force and calculate the bending moment.
However, this should be achieved by developing a script using Python in Plaxis3D. Alternatively, you can also embed a pile to find the shear force and the bending moment directly from the outcomes > double click on the embed pile > forces.
I am facing difficulties regarding SF and BM in the attached table that what is Q23, Q13, M2 and M3. Which one will be considered as shear force (Q23 or Q13) and which one will be the BM (M2 or M3).
