I would like to start a technical discussion concerning how to correctly calculate the stiffness matrices for midplane symmetric sandwich plate.
In fact, I already looked in the reference book ''Vinson, J.R., 1999. The Behavior of Sandwich Structures of Isotropic and Composite Materials'', Technomic Publishing Co., Lancaster.''
Apparently, the analytical model which I am trying to reproduce from a paper is not working well. And here, I admit that my program code can be wrong. But, before that, I would like to make sure if I am calculating the corresponding material properties correctly (especially the ABD matrices for sandwich and also A55 value). The attached photo shows about how I determine these values using the formulations.
My question is ''Is this how the other reference books (other authors) determine these parameters?'' I would like to hear the opinions from the experts in the field. Thanks in advance for your discussion.
