I have tried to clamp the crocodile clip to the carbon electrode (on region where the FTO is etched and capped with SnO2 and perovskite layer) but it scratches the carbon paste. Should I just use silver paste and copper tape, where the paste is applied right at the edge of the carbon electrode and connecting it to copper tape, where the tape is clamped by the crocodile clip? The crocodile connector can not used directly to access relatively soft matereial layers. So t he best way is to connect a copper wires by silver epoxy and let it dry to solidify. You can connect the other wire terminal to a PCB board and connect the board to the crocodile or any other connector.
In this way you will not scratch or damage any layer.

I never would use crocodile clamps for sensitive measurements. The first question for contacts is whether they are Ohmic and second can there be thermovoltages which disturb the measurement. I recommend for such experimental contacts the use of Gallium-Indium-eutectic or the use of Indium wires. For more stabil contacts we bond Au or Al wires to the contact region. For your material, you must compare the work function of the both contact materials.

Try soldering strips of copper braid on to the crocodile clips so that when they are closed only the braid contacts the cell and not the clips themselves.
