Excel is user friendly and available to users free of charge on all platforms as long as users have Microsoft office. In addition, you can do most small to medium size statistical problems in Excel. We can use Excel add-ins for doing any semi-advanced problems. You can obtain the Excel add -in by purchasing any Mc Graw-Hill or Pearson Statistics books for any advanced statistics textbook.

Actually, XLS data is ready to analysis in many statistical tools. The best way I suggest to use SPSS or PLS or Amos.

In fact I use SPSS, XLSTAT and R however I started with excel because it's user friendly and allows you to understand the concept behind each statistical test... too many they use the most sophisticated software but they don't know how to interpret the results

I haven't heard about the newest addin But I would suggest R, it is powerful, comprehensive, and some of the best people in stats research wrote it. All the tests that I've made them till now are very accurate and I'm trying before uploading any video to verify the accuracy by either doing them manually or on other statistical packages such as SPSS... Please could you share any article that shows what problems Excel is having..

Dear Socrat, you can hear many opinions and though some are very similar, it does not mean that they show the best solution. First thing is to identify your research goals in detail! Then, it would be easier to identify the tool as well. In general, SPSS is the most frequently used for survey analysis, but in your youtube channel you state a goal "to apply excel for research projects in an easy and practical way. You don't need to be a statistician in order to learn and to apply descriptive and inferential statistics". This means that your goal is to use Excel, right? In this way, you need Add-Ins in addition to Excel Data Analysis and I could suggest PHStat Add-Ins, which I use for years in my Excel classes. You can find it using Google search or just visit Pearson website (BTW I'm not their representative). The good news is that in its latest version it works both on PC and a Mac as well. Thank you all for your input. It's really interesting. Dear Mihail Motzev I've noticed that some they are pro excel some others SPSS, MiniTab and R.. As I mentioned earlier i use SPSS & R, but i think Excel in some areas is more user friendly. Thank you for the statistical package I will download it and see how I can benefit from it ..
