I start my research paper about this subject but, i need more insight about this from researcher who experts in this topic, and how can i get more details about it
Dear Haitham, I study lifestyle interventions that help improve quality of life (QOL) for older adults. While I haven't studied this specific form of intervention, I can imagine how it could help improve QOL. An example of how I could see this working is through a senior center or AARP program (In the U.S., AARP = American Association of Retired Persons). If a senior center offered a space for senior entrepreneurs to have group office space, computers, and printers, and gave them a scheduled time for other seniors to engage in a brainstorming activity for starting a small business, I could see this having tremendous impact to those retired people as well as the community. As a further detail to the project, it would be a great way for high school students to gain community service hours by engaging with the program and helping address web design and social media issues for the retired folks that don't have those skill sets.
As for the health outcomes of such a program, I hypothesize that the retired people would have increased social engagement, a sense of purpose, and a sense of pride in contributing to their community. Each of these things would potentially increase QOL through positive feelings (reduced risk of depression), increased social engagement (reduced risk of loneliness, which is a contributor to cognitive decline), and potentially increased physical activity by having extra projects to drive to / be engaged in that they might otherwise not have experienced.
These are just rough ideas and hypotheses, but I can see where there would be genuine benefit with measurable and improved health outcomes. Good luck with your research paper.
Dear Loretta, thanks a lot for your recommendation and comments about this subject of my research and you ere really concentrated in some issues that will improve my thinking such as brainstorm activity for starting small business to help them improve QOL, increase their social engagement and their community responsibility.
I am 28 years old but based on my observation, I would say retired people would like to share his/her life experiences to people around them. In this age nobody would like to talk with them and relationship between aging and aggressive in their behavior also cannot be ignored. This motivational factor can change their attitude towards entrepreneur and they will have chance to start life journey in this way. They can engage themselves in many businesses such as school, restaurant and franchising type businesses where they will have to deal and talk with people.
