I am wanting to prepare a small quantity of MQAE solution. Once prepared, how soon should it be used? How fast will it degrade? Is there a way I can store a leftover amount for future use?
Are there any other tips or advice for preparing and using this solution?
I have read many research papers where MQAE is used, but they do not give any details on preparation and storage.

Just some further notes I found:
Several papers mention storage temp but not duration. Also several mention avoidance of photo-bleaching:
- Stock solutions of SPQ, MQAE, and SPQ may be made in water or buffers to at least 1 mg/mL. Aqueous stock solutions should be stored at -20°C, protected from light.

- All solutions were stored in the dark to minimize any photobleaching effects
- MQAE was dissolved in a mixture of acetonitrile and water (1:1; stock solution), and the stock solution (500 mM) was stored at − 20 °C
