With the world being a global village, cultural intelligence is very vital for the facilitation of any successful negotiation. You want to understand the norms of whoever you are negotiating with and what is forming those norms.
Cultural intelligence helps you to easily navigate different cultures and gain deeper insight into ways to better bridge a gap when dealing with a business partner from another culture. This is also especially important if you hope to keep being in business with that person and not leave the negotiation table either as a "winner" or a "loser". With win-win being the goal of every negotiation where both partners feel comfortable with their lots or agreement, having cultural intelligence becomes vital as the person whom you negotiated with leaves the negotiation table feeling good and looking forward to working with you in the future.
