Furthermore, universities that actively publish and promote research on their website may benefit from greater recognition and citations, which are key criteria in many global rankings.
Today, any organization faces the need to quickly perceive a multitude of "weak" signals coming from a rapidly changing socio-economic environment. The activity of the organization as a whole should be aimed at establishing, maintaining, improving and systematizing communication channels, dialogue and constructive interaction with all interested parties.
The key tool for solving this problem is the formation of the organization's own Web space. Moreover, if for universities there are requirements for the structure and content of the official website, then for scientific organizations they are absent.
Quantitative analysis of the content of the Internet and the Web, related to the processes of generation and scientific communication of scientific knowledge, is the subject of a new developing discipline Webometrics.
