Recent IT technologies are making waves and affecting the education sector as well.
Are these technologies forcing us to re imagine the way we educate?After all what is quality education?

What a great question. I would also add it is just not technology that I beleive a "re-thinking of education" is imperative.

I am thankful for raising this important question, rather it poses a big challenge to all the traditional universities and institutes, which are not able to upgrade their technologies and infrastructure at par with need.
View learning as a total community responsibility. For that re imagine the society first, then education.
To re-imagine the education, first those cultural etics (the need to regain discipline) that have been bygone will have to be reinforced back to the system then we will have an entirety transformed society. For example, in the UK the discipline is lost. Do you remember those days visitors came to the classroom and pupils stood up. Do you remember those era when you keep your litter with you until you found a bin but despite number of available bins now litters everywhere. Reinvigoration of the education I suggest need to commence from the overlooked etiquette.
It may sound traditional but remember the New is created from the OLD.
I believe that to reimagine the education is to re-imagine the people.

May I ask why and how you came to determine that the re-imagine of education must come from outside in? Can we not say this has been what has been tried for 200 years? If as we hope educations is doing is shaping the minds of the furture shouldn't we be concerned with them first?
