In quantum mechanics, we use the results of the solution of Schrödinger equation for H-atom (i. e. n, l, ml, ms) for any other atom. We distribute the electrons in any atom i.e. the electron configuration by using the quantum numbers that have been obtained from the solution of H-atom. Why?

The solution of the Schrödinger equation for the H-atom is completely different from the solution of other atoms and the solution for every atom is completely different from the solutions of other atoms, especially for the radial part which depends on the potential energy. The form of this potential energy is very complicated as the number of electrons increases.
