Does anyone have an idea to create a Triangle waveform?
The reason I require this is because I require to compare a Sinewave and a Triangle to create a SPWM.
In another I need the MATLAB assistant to calculate the duty cycle in order to create a lookup table.
Your help is very important for my understanding
First you create symmetrical (amplitude equal to +/- 1) square wave with 90 deg phase shift buy using Pulse Generator block (Simulink-Sources-Pulse Generator) and offset-ing it by half-amplitude. Then pass this to input of Integrator block. Output from the integrator block will be Triangle Waveform that can be used for Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation. Gain block can be used to have desired amplitude.
In attached file you may find the Simulink example. It is for 1 second period. Other periods can be set by changing parameter Period off Pulse Generator block. Pulse Width parameter should be 50%, and Phase delay parameter should be equal to Period/4. Amplitude is set to -2 and offset constant to 1 (-Amplitude/2).
