Indeed, we have recovered a large amount of aluminum blend using the risidus of machining operations. We want to purify these alloys to obtain an aluminum series 1000.
How to do ?
One way of doing is down recycling; i.e. mixing high purity Al into the impure Al to reduce the overall impurity level. But, as Johannes has suggested, it may not be economically attractive.
Other approach of recycling such stock is to find out the average composition and adjust the chemistry in a minimalist way so that the composition matches with a nearest commercial alloy (but this may not be 1xxx series).
Just thinking you originally want to obtain an aluminum series 1000. During machining operation, your scraps would have contaminations including carbon pickup from lubricants etc., trace elements from cutting inserts, and Alumina layers. Ideally economic to have intensive cleaning to remove carbon; Alumina layers to be filtered out then trace elements good for series 1000.
