I have a first order ordinary differential equation (ODE) with lower and upper limits as 2.3 ad 3.9 respectively. I am basically integrating acceleration to get velocity within a time range of 2.3 and 3.9. I have my dv/dt expression but I cannot find how to input the limits in Simulink. I have done simple integration with initial conditions as 0 and i get correct answers. However for this case with time limits, i don't get what i calculate on paper.
I have tried filling in 2.3 in the lower saturation limit and 3.9 in the upper saturation limit but I don't get the answers i expect. Is there a way of doing it? All your help is highly appreciated. Thank you.
Another way is to create a pulse signal with amplitude equal to one at the time interval you want to integrate, and zero everywhere else. Then multiply your signal by the output of the pulse-block (so that the signal is different from zero only during the integration period) and then connect the output of the product-block to the integrator input.
I would recommend Mathcad for symbolic integration. Its graphic user interface greatly facilitates the introduction of analytical expressions.
