I need to simulate passing of Caotic signal in CST. I can create new Caotic test-signal but it it works only with S-parametrs(tell me if I wrong). Also I do not understand what frequency I need to choose. this is a broadband signal, bandwidth 2GHz.
Go into used defined excitation signals - from the tree menu on the left. See the help about user defined functions. You can then put in a chaotic excitation signal using a VBA routine or by importing an ASCII file - that would be my favourite!

The edit button opens the VBA editor that lets you define an excitation function.
Please note that the function input parameter time (as well as the total time of the user defined signal) is always interpreted in project unit.
As example to generate a triangular waveform in the interval (0 , 2) [time project unit] the following code may be used:

Import
Enables you to import a two-column table from an ASCII file which contains the time and signal data. Please note that the data of an imported signal is always interpreted in the unit seconds.
