I am going to do a research stay in India and I would like to know what is the process to be able to send samples from India to Germany. Samples will be made of sediment and roots of plants (in the form of powrder).
There will be like 40 samples of no more than 25 gramms
Can I simply put them in my luggage? should I ask for a permit?

Not an expert, I am looking for a similar question but more in the technolical side. For your question I suggest you ship through a shipping company such as DHL or Ups. You should declare your sample as non commercial sample and use the non commercial. Proforma invoice. If you have characterised the sample in some way you can include some of the results. Be clear when declaring something and state the nature of the samples (components / polymers) and state they are for academic research purposes. Hope this guides you in the right direction.
