I’m conducting a R&D project recently. It belongs to an underdetermined problem (no. of equations < no. of variables). Luckily, several tests can be conducted for the same system; nevertheless, each test is always an underdetermined problem. My question is: how to reach the final solution based upon several tests? Can the simultaneous equations be linearized? In that case you can find the solution via generalized inversion of the coefficient matrix.

Maybe, you can consider it as a non determinist problem with uncertainties and apply probability theory. Each test is an observation of the model and their parameters can be estimated through the method of maximum likelihood, for example.
