we have prepared some pictures of foam surface. Now we need a software which can import these pictures and export a 3D perfect structure of mentioned foam.

There are two ways to do this. The first is to use an x-ray tomography machine to measure the 3D structure directly.
The second approach is to make sequential grinding of the material at intervals less than the mean pore size. Depending on your resolution requirements, you would probably want to choose at least 1/5th of the mean pore size as the layer removal thickness. There is then 3D image analysis software which can reconstruct a 3D model.
Yet another approach, is to make a model of the structure based on only a few representative images from which you determine the pore size distribution. You can then make youre model based on this by randomly placing pores of random sizes (within the size distribution, of course). The voxels which are not assigned to pores then form your foam.

I'm afraid I don't know which software actually does it. I've seen a few demonstrations several years ago. Certainly a regular image analysis software can give you the size distribution of the pores, from which you can reconstruct a model in MatLab for example as I suggested in the third approach.

there are several commercial software tools, which allows you to reconstruct a 3D Model from 2D Images (slices): mimics, Avizo, MAVI, VGStudioMax...etc.
I think that you can find in the Web some freewares.

interesting. If you send a few 2d images to [email protected] they can probably tell you if your foam can be created with that software.
