I wrote the electromagnetic FEM code by myself.
In 2D transient eddy electromagnetic field simulation, the total current in the eddy current area must be zero. In my own FEM code , if I add up the above the restriction , the more equation is added up to the original equations. So the new equations become overdeterminted. The iteration solution cannot be converged.
So how I guartee the total current be zero in eddy current simulation .

I have already added new electric potential DOFs and finished the new program as you said . The newton rapson eddy solution is converged correctly and the total current is zero!
1. You may formulate the problem in terms of potentials
or
2. Use a staggered grid.
